Awareness Campaign on NATO Programs for Promoting Innovation in Security and Defense

The Security and Defence Innovation Centre continues its initiative to raise awareness of NATO programmes that support research and development in the field of security and defence. The latest meeting was held at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, where students and members of the academic staff participated in an interactive dialogue highlighting the importance of academic contributions to the innovation ecosystem and the critical role of technology in modern security architecture.

At the heart of this information session were two key pillars of the Alliance:

• Science for Peace and Security (SPS): A mechanism that enables international cooperation through scientific research projects, with a focus on addressing contemporary security challenges.

• DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic): An accelerator platform aimed at fostering the development of dual-use technologies (civilian and military), creating a bridge between academia, industry, and the defence sector.
