The Security and Defense Innovation Center develops, within the location where it operates, the environment dedicated to the "Fab Lab - digital fabrication laboratory".
Fab Lab aims to:
a. Supporting enterprises, startups, individuals and the ecosystem of startups as a whole with the aim of intensifying innovation in security and defense by making available the tools and the fab lab according to the ways and forms approved by a special act from the Center of Security and Defense Innovation
b. Providing services to existing industries, and the local community, supporting R&D (research-development) in the field of security and defense according to programs approved by special acts from the Innovation Center.
c. The promotion of innovative solutions on entrepreneurship, services, and challenges addressed by the Armed Forces, or third parties related to security and defense.
Fab Lab was also created to generate revenue including but not limited to membership fees, service fees, public usage etc., which will be transparent to the public.
Currently, the Security and Defense Innovation Center offers a Fab Lab with several devices, for which work is being done regarding the addition of the newest devices and technologies, to come as close as possible to the needs of the users who will use this space.
